Corsair Performance Cruising Catamaran

Rig

The standard rig has a fully-battened main sail and self-tacking jib. All sailing controls lead back to the cockpit for easy, single-handed sailing. Dual engine controls allow one person to dock and manoeuvre with ease. These features and attention to deck layout make the boat easier to sail and dock than most conventional production catamarans up to 10 feet shorter.

The optional performance rig features a modified square top main of Hydranet dynema fabric, 900 square foot reacher designed to sail upwind in lighter air on a carbon fibre bowsprit, and a 2,500 square foot asymmetric spinnaker. This rig, combined with the care taken in making the vessel as light as possible and high aspect foils, offers performance not seen in a fully moulded production catamaran with this degree of comfort.
