This morning, the mast was put up on the Corsair 50, Mango Moon.
The mast was designed by the world renowned, Reichel Pugh Yacht Design. The design excellence of Rachel Pugh is clearly illustrated by the fact that their boats have won nearly every major Grand Prix-level sailing contest in the world.
The mast was then built by Australia's largest yacht mast manufacturing company, Allyacht Spars Australia.
The mast height from the water is 74' 8'' (22.8m). It will carry a mainsail of 1,080sq ft (100sqm), a jib of 478sq ft (44.5sqm), Code O 990 sq ft (92.5sqm) and an asymmetric spinakker of 2,370 sq ft (220sqm).
